Stewart Wieck is a longtime comic collector who was at first extremely wary of slabbed books. Eventually, he warmed to the idea of paying a ridiculous amount more for a slightly better copy, because, well, it's pretty cool to have such sweet books, and now he's #7 on the CGC Registry. He also remembers when he and his brother made the stunning realization that comic books were numbered. Northwestern Illinois wasn't that desolate, but the brothers didn't know any other comic book fans.

This love of comic books beget all manner of similar interest, most notably roleplaying games, which he discovered in 1980 while in middle school in north Georgia. Soon thereafter he began to write freelance for a number of game companies, including material for fantasy, science fiction, and yes, super-hero roleplaying games. This pursuit quickly morphed into publishing a roleplaying fanzine that grew into a magazine that grew into the roleplaying game publishing company White Wolf Publishing that later published fiction and board and card games. Stewart has written many novels and short stories, designed roleplaying and card games, and he swears a comic book is still in his future.

After a win-win merger with CCP Games in 2006, Stewart remained involved in the new company so he could play around with computer game design. After three years, the entrepreneurial itch got the better of him and he left to tackle other businesses and artistic pursuits. GetSlabbed.com is the first such new business. Oliver Diaz is an illustrator and graphic designer who operates the respected Houston-based web and interactive media company Bullfighter Design. He has constructed countless websites and worked with clients like Schlumberger and M.D. Anderson to fulfill design-based needs. In addition to these virtual creations, Oliver worked in the physical-world as a student of architecture and as publisher for a magazine devoted to adults and children with ADD. Additionally, he has extensive experience in marketing, including time with IT and magazine companies, and culminating as Creative Director at the advertising agency RCS.

A love of roleplaying games and fantasy genre novels and art set him up for a later-in-life sucker punch by comic books. He's now a budding collector (he claims it's purely an investment) and has begun his first character designs.

Oliver continues to juggle a number of design projects, and is involved with GetSlabbed.com on a daily basis to keep the web engine humming and growing.
